Extension Privacy Policy
This page explains what data the "ACR GTİP Lookup" extension, developed by ACR Gümrük Müşavirliği ("Company") and running in your browser, processes and for what purpose. The extension allows you to search the Turkish Customs Tariff Schedule by GTİP code or product name.
No Personal Data Is Collected
The extension contains no form that collects personal data — no name, email, location, or similar information is requested or recorded by the extension.
Automatic Network Request: Downloading the Search Index
To function, the extension makes only one automatic network request: it downloads a static file via GET from https://acrgumruk.com/data/gtip/search-index.json. This is to obtain an up-to-date copy of the GTİP tariff search index. As with any HTTP request, this request creates a standard access log on our server (IP address, date/time, browser user-agent information); this log is kept solely for server security and technical monitoring purposes and is not associated with your identity.
Your Search Query Is Not Sent Automatically
The search query you enter, whether a GTİP code or a product name, is processed entirely in your browser. The text you search for is never automatically sent to any server.
Local Cache (chrome.storage.local)
The downloaded tariff data is cached locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local for 24 hours so that you can search quickly. This cache contains only tariff data, contains no personal data, and does not leave your device. Once the cache period expires, the data is refreshed automatically.
Consultation Link: Redirect to WhatsApp (Optional)
If you CLICK the "Get consultation" link on a result card, your browser is redirected to the acrgumruk.com/eklenti-yonlendir/ page. On this page, a cookie-based measurement not associated with your identity is carried out with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) (a page view and the extension_cta event — for details, see our Cookie Policy). The GTİP code you were searching for at that moment and campaign tags (utm_*) are carried in the link address (as URL parameters). Within a short time (at most 1200 milliseconds), this page redirects you to WhatsApp (wa.me, Meta Platforms Inc.); the pre-filled message text includes the GTİP code you searched for. From the moment you move to WhatsApp, your messaging is subject to Meta's own privacy policy; we do not control the processing of data from that point onward. This step is entirely optional; it only happens if you click the link yourself, it is not automatic.
